We have "bootstrapped" Southern Sorghum for the past 3 years, investing our own savings while we refined our approach and built farmers trust. We now have a system that works and more farmers than we can support with our savings alone. We believe that a business is the best approach to support smallholders. We have spent decades working on NGO projects and have seen first-hand the limitations of this traditional approach. As a business we re-invest our profits to continue serving smallholders.
Support us through a one off $20 donation or Subscribe for $20 / month and enable us to provide one farmer with all the seed & fertilizer they need to cultivate ±4 ha.

A one off donation of $20 wil enable us to purchase 5kg of seeds - enough for 0.5ha. We will provide a seed for a combination of three crops that enable crop rotation & support soil health: sorghum, sunflower & cowpea.

A regular monthy donation of $20 would enable us to provide one farmer with enough seed to cultivate 4 ha and a small quantity of fertilier for their sorghum crop
